Organisms

We work on a wide range of organisms but our empirical focus is on terrestrial invertebrates, especially grasshoppers. We are using matchstick grasshoppers (family Morabidae) as a model system for asking a range of ecological and evolutionary questions. We are also studying species of economic significance – namely the Australian Plague Locust Chortoicetes terminifera and the closely related Austroicetes genus. All of these taxa have a rich history of study.
